PROJECT DURATION

32 WEEKS

Developing the Edeninco app to provide adventure and travel enthusiasts, as well as families, with a comprehensive platform for finding remote activity route maps, using an offline GPS tracker, accessing weather forecasts, and securing affordable emergency insurance and user-dependent care.

Target market includes individuals who enjoy exploring new destinations and engaging in outdoor activities, as well as families seeking convenient and safe travel options.
As part of project, placing a primary focus on creating a responsive web design for the Edeninco platform, which will effectively promote the app's features and benefits. Aim is to provide a seamless user experience for both mobile and desktop users, ensuring accessibility and usability for all.

MY ROL

Recent studies indicate that approximately 60-70% of adventure enthusiasts in India encounter significant difficulties in accessing reliable information about remote maps or active offline GPS tracks, remote area weather forecasts, affordable adventure insurance, and the care of dependents. Online research can be confusing and misleading, making it challenging for individuals to plan and execute their trips safely and efficiently.

PROBLEM

Develop a comprehensive app for Edeninco that simplifies the search for remote maps or active offline GPS tracks, enables trail recording, provides real-time weather forecasts, offers adventure insurance, and features emergency SOS capabilities that connect to satellites to send distress signals when WiFi or cellular data connections are unavailable. The app should also provide solutions for the care of dependents.

GOAL

To establish a strong brand identity for Edeninco, I will conduct comprehensive research, including interviews and usability studies. I will utilize paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, and ensure accessibility considerations. Moreover, I will iterate on designs to achieve the desired branding objectives, delivering an engaging and effective branding solution.

TASKS

This is the space to introduce the Services section. Briefly describe the types of services offered and highlight any special benefits or features.

01

EMPATHIZE

Analyze my research findings from the empathize phase and determine which user problems are the most important ones to solve, and why.

02

DEFINE

Generate several sketche and arrange main elements come up with as many design solutions as possible.

03

IDEATION

Now goal is to produce an early model of a product that demonstrates its functionality and can be used for testing.

04

PROTOTYPE

Developing the right solution to address user’s problem, and an organized approach to testing can help create exceptional user experiences.

CONDUCTING USER

NEEDS ASSESSMENT

Conducting a user needs assessment is crucial for UX design because it helps designers to better understand the needs, preferences, and behaviors of the target users. This information can be used to create user-centered solutions that are effective, efficient, and enjoyable to use, ultimately leading to increased user satisfaction and loyalty, and reducing development costs.

USER RESEARCH

PERSONAS

PROBLEM STATEMENTS

USER JOURNEY MAPS

Research within adventure-loving groups, including online research, interviews, and empathy mapping, confirmed the primary user group's interest in adventure apps. However, research also uncovered significant gaps in available features and services, such as remote maps, offline GPS tracks, weather forecasts, emergency SOS, affordable adventure insurance, and tools for dependents. These insights can inform the design and development of adventure apps to better meet user needs.

RESEARCH SUMMARY

USABILITY STUDY FINDINGS

I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.

ROUND 2 FINDINGS

Users want to order insurance & care support without any confusion.

Users want active offline GPS tracker, weather forecast.

Users want emergency SOS serviceability to send emergency messages.

ROUND 1 FINDINGS

Users want to find the remote location quickly.

Users want easier ways to add care support.

PROTOTYPE

As the initial design phase continued, I made sure to base screen designs on feedback and findings from user research. Additionally, using the completed set of digital wireframes, I created a low-fidelity prototype. The primary user flow I connected with was basic design & minimal prototype, so the prototype could be used in a usability study. You can view the Low-fidelity prototype here.

What I learned

While designing the edeninco app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.

IMPACT

The app makes users feel like edeninco really thinks about how to meet their needs.

NEXT STEPS

Conduct more user research to determine any new areas of need.

Conduct another round of usability studies to validate whether the pain points users experienced have been effectively addressed.

Early wireframes allowed for some customization, but after the 1st & 2nd usability studies, I added more options for app screens, I prioritized quick and easy finding that remote maps or active offline GPS tracks, record trails, weather forecasts, emergency SOS, affordable adventure insurance, and care support. I also revised the design so users see all the customization options when they first land on the home & categories screen.

This project was a continuation of edeninco app design. Project's primary focus creating an Edeninco responsive web design to promote edeninco app, which features, Find the remote activity route maps, active offline GPS tracker, weather forecast, and affordable emergency Insurance & user-dependent care.

Target customers like adventure and travel lovers people or families.
